On the afternoon of this Friday, January 29, it was announced that Colorado Rockies and St. Louis Cardinals have reached an agreement that sends Nolan Arenado to Cardinals facing Season 2021 of MLB. The third baseman would be starting a new cycle with a new team in his quest to reach and win a World Series title.
Journalist Ken Rosenthal reported that the St. Louis Cardinals have acquired Nolan Arenado from the Colorado Rockies. The deal is only approved by the MLB and the Players Association.
Rosenthal reports via The Athletic source that the Rockies are expected to send the Cardinals a significant amount of money believed to be around $ 50 million.
Other reports say the trade between the Rockies and the Cardinals for third base will not be completed tonight as Nolan Arenado would still have to agree to the deal and choose to exercise his exit option.
