Richard is devastated. One fine day, his wife woke up with severe pain in her shoulder. Clare just thought a hot bath and a good nap would relieve her. The mum-of-two then asked her husband to wake her up if she rested too long. When Richard went to their room, he discovered the 41-year-old woman dead.
Despite the rapid intervention of the emergency services, Claire died on January 8, in her home in Manchester. The widower expresses his sadness to MEN: “I was emotionally upset, I was screaming. I ran to my daughter’s room and was straight on the phone to emergency services. It doesn’t seem real, but everything seems blurry. It happened so quickly”.
The mother of the family died of a pulmonary embolism. She leaves behind her husband, as well as their two children Harry and Alice, aged 16 and 15 respectively.
