The Buenos Aires government today reached 40 thousand citizens over 60 years of age immunized with the first dose of the Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus, as part of the public, free and optional plan of the provincial administration.
Of that total, 38 thousand were vaccinated in schools that were established as clinics for the application of the vaccine in the 135 municipalities.
The rest are citizens who live in long-stay residences for the elderly and whose immunization was carried out in coordinated operations with 12 PAMI Local Management Units (LGU) informed the Government of Buenos Aires in a statement.
The current stage of the campaign seeks to complete the health system personnel, while prioritizing Buenos Aires people who are at risk groups, including those over 60 years of age and, in view of the return to face-to-face classes, community workers educational with pre-existing diseases.
Those interested in receiving the vaccine must pre-register on the site vaccinatepba.gba.gob.ar or through the vaccinatePBA application.
In doing so, they will integrate a database that will allow them to receive their shifts according to the different priorities established.
