The Morocco / Israel liaison office, located in Hayarkon Street (Tel Aviv) is undergoing renovation. According to Israeli media, the Moroccan diplomatic representation will open at the end of January.
“The place will serve, initially, as a diplomatic liaison office before later becoming the seat of the Moroccan embassy”, continues the Israeli media. A technical delegation has already arrived in Israel to inquire about the work. According to the same source, the Moroccan flag will soon be deployed in the building.
The chosen premises are the same used by Morocco before the freezing of diplomatic relations with Israel in 2000, after the second Intifada. However, the kingdom continued to pay the rent for the office. The latter is spread over four floors and covers 600m2.
