Moto G Stylus, the new basic phone with 5G

Motorola introduced, almost surprisingly, a new phone. Its about Moto G Stylus 5G, a version of the more recent Moto G that, as the name implies, has support for 5G and a stylus type stylus.

On the outside, this equipment does not change much to what is already known in the Moto G series of equipment. The screen is LCD, 6.8 inches and 1,920 x 1,080 pixels of resolution. The battery is just as big as the screen, as it reaches 5,000 mAh, enough to go two days without having to recharge.

The Moto G Stylus 5G is a modest phone in terms of specs. The camera will have four lenses for images of 48 MP maximum. Meanwhile, the processor will be a Snapdragon 480 5G and there will be configurations of 4 or 6 GB of RAM, and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage.

These last two aspects are not really modest and in practice it is only the processor that keeps it in an entry range: it is an efficient chip, but it is far from what other processors offer in phones of similar price or even lower.

The important thing in this new version is 5G connectivity. This new Moto G is compatible with sub-6GHz networks, so it is prepared to operate on those networks where they are available and, being an input equipment, could help advance in the adoption of technology.

Regarding the price, the new Moto G Stylus 5G will cost $ 399 when it goes on sale in the United States, on June 14.
