A motorcyclist tried to overtake a Stib tram with his chopper, this Tuesday evening, around 11:45 p.m., in rue du Bailli, in Ixelles. Only problem ? He had not seen that another Stib tram was coming in the opposite direction and he therefore found himself stuck between the two trams; with his mount that he had to resolve to abandon in this bad position!
When questioned, An Van hamme, spokesperson for Stib, clarified the circumstances of the accident: “It was an accident when overtaking. The motorbike wanted to pass the tram, but another tram was coming just then in the other direction and the motorbike got stuck between two trams. The biker first declared himself injured, but then refused the ambulance”.
