The source of the tremors is located at a depth of about 2,900 – 3,000 meters. Increased tremor is accompanied by violent infrasonic activity with high-amplitude signals.
As you know, Etna is one of the most active volcanoes on the planet. Since 1950, it has erupted several dozen times.
