Mourinho compares the Tottenham prodigy to Marcus Rashford page all – Young players Tottenham Hotspur, Dane Scarlett, stole the attention after the match against Wolfsberg at leg second round of 32 Europa League 2020-2021.

Tottenham Hotspur packed a 4-0 victory over Wolfsberg in a match that was held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Thursday (25/2/2021) in the morning WIB.

Tottenham’s four winning goals were recorded by Dele Alli, Gareth Bale and two other goals thanks to the action of Carlos Vinicius.

After the match, the Tottenham coach, Jose Mourinho, praised Dane Scarlett.

Dane Scarlett is a young Tottenham player who is only 16 years old. He played Mourinho in the 81st minute replaces Dele Alli.

Only two minutes into the field, Dane Scarlett immediately gave assist for Tottenham’s fourth goal scored by Carlos Vinicius.

He became the second 16-year-old to give assist in the Europa League competition after Kylian Mbappe in the AS Monaco uniform in 2015.

“He is a diamond, a child with extraordinary potential,” said Jose Mourinho Talk Sport.

“He’s been training a lot with the first team and that has an impact on his personality. He’s still 16 years old, will be 17 soon (in March).”

“I believe next season he will be a first team player because he has a lot of talent,” said Mourinho.

Not only that, Jose Mourinho also compared Dane Scarlett with the Manchester United star, Marcus Rashford.

Jose Mourinho himself handled Marcus Rashford when he was coach of Man United in the 2016-2018 era.

“He will be a fantastic player and I hope that everything around him goes well,” said Mourinho.

“He is a striker, player number nine. I have played him on the wing like Marcus Rashford and he is very smart,” said Jose Mourinho.

The 4-0 victory led Tottenham Hotspur to qualify for the last 16 of the Europa League with an 8-1 aggregate victory.
