Mansoor Thachanparampil, who is being investigated by the police, claims that he is innocent in the 1476 crore drug case. Mansoor is currently in Africa. His explanation is that the container was sent from Africa when he was in the country. Mansoor’s revelation comes while the investigation in the Mumbai drug trafficking case is progressing. His father Moiteen Ahmed says that Malayali Mansoor Thachanparambil is innocent in the drug case. The helper from Gujarat had filled the container with the parcel.
Mansoor was in the country when the container was sent. Mansoor is now in South Africa and returned after the container left. The father also stated that the DRI team inspected the house in Indianur, Malappuram.
In connection with the incident, an excise inspection was conducted at the house of Vijin Varghese, a native of Kaladi. The inspection was conducted at a house in Kalady Amalapuram. A car in the name of the company is also being checked by excise. A surprise inspection is conducted at Vijin Varghese’s house to get more evidence related to drug trafficking.

In the case of seizure of drugs worth Rs 1476 crore in Maharashtra, including a Malayali, was arrested. The DRI first arrested Vijin Varghese, a native of Kaladi and managing director of Yumitho International Foods. DRI seized drugs worth crores of rupees in a raid in Vasi, Maharashtra. In the investigation, it was found that Mansoor Thachanparampil, a Malayali, was involved in the incident.
The investigation team found that people including Vijin Varghese were smuggling drugs under the guise of importing fruits from abroad. Mansoor and Vij get to know each other during covid. Then the two started a business of sending masks to Dubai. Narcotics were smuggled under the guise of fruit import which started later. Meanwhile, Vij’s statement is that he did not know anything about drug trafficking and that Mansoor was controlling everything.
