After a day in which 29 municipalities in Córdoba voted, in most cases there were no surprising results and the victory went to the ruling party, although in two cases Juntos por el Cambio gave the blow by snatching mayors from Peronism.

One of the surprises of the day for the opposition occurred in Coronel Moldes, where the radical Ezequiel Moiso won with 30.65 percent of the votes, just one and a half points over the current vice mayor. The Peronist Gustavo Argüello, obtained 29.25, with a difference of just 84 votess. In that commune, Sergio Vizzo (MID) made an important election, with 26 percent of the votes.

The other significant victory for the opposition was in Las Acequias, where the radical Germán Martini obtained 52 percent of the votes by beating the Peronist Pablo Cavallero, who obtained 47.

While, Peronism managed to retain the communes of Canals, Potrero de Garay, Cruz Alta, Laguna Larga and Los Mistoles, and JxC did the same in Capilla del Sitón, Villa Sarmiento, Las Vertientes, Alcira Gigena, Chucul, and Pampayasta Sud.

In Alcira Gigena the radical candidate of JxC, Nancy Foresto, he prevailed with 51.75 percent of the votes over the 45.79 obtained by the former Peronist mayor María Amelia Chiófalo.

In Channels, the Peronist Edgar Bruno achieved re-election by overwhelmingly imposing himself with 67.94 percent of the votes over the 30.21 of Damián Moraisfrom Together for Change.

In Cruz Alta, the Peronist Agustín González retained the mayorship, with el 65 percent of the votes, against 35 for doctor Jorge Pierobon, who was supported by JxC.

In Long Lagoon the local mayor allied to the provincial government Matías Torres Cena also prevailed over Pablo Villalón, from JxC, supported by Patricia Bullrich, by 55.40 percent to 42.34. While, in Las Vertientes, the radical Javier Girardi defeated Osmar Romero, from the PJ, with 48 percent of the votes, who obtained 30.

In Potrero Garay, the Peronist Gerardo Martínez, from Potrero Avanza, prevailed with 54.92 percent of the votes over Melina Stefell, from JxC, who was preferred by 22.14, in an election that had as a salient note the acceptable election of the libertarians of the Democratic Party, with on 18.50, who had Silvia Suárez as a candidate.

Election day was held in the towns of Canals; High Cross; Colonel Molds; Long Lagoon; lozada; Garay paddock; Paso Viejo and Tuclame, both from the department of Cruz del Eje; Villa Sarmiento (General Roca); Copacabana (Ischilin); Assunta and Charras (Juárez Celman), and Alcira Gigena, Bulnes, Chucul, Las Acequias and Las Vertientes (Río Cuarto).

Other localities that held elections are Las Isletillas, Pampayasta Sud and Punta del Agua (Upper Third Department); Chapel of Siton and The Mistoles (Totoral); San Jose de las Salinas (Tulumba), and Santa Maria Village, Benjamin Gould, Cintra, Bismarck Colony, Bremen Colony and Idiazabal (Union Department).

The province has 427 municipalities and communes, of which 227 will vote simultaneously with the provincial elections on June 25, and the rest will do so on different dates until July 23.
