Man shot dead in Vernier (GE): “My nephew was not free”
The aunt of the 30-year-old who accused his wife of shooting him testifies. He was allegedly beaten by his wife and subjected to his grasp.

This 31-year-old Mauritian was shot dead in Vernier (GE) on December 29. Before dying on the banks of the Rhône, he was able to call the police to say that his wife had just shot him. Arrested and taken into custody, she denies being the author of the shot. The victim’s aunt has no doubts. His nephew had been abused since his marriage, bordering on forcible confinement. “She took almost all of his pay at the end of the month and hid his passport from him. He was not free, ”reports Mélissa.
