The celebration began with the recitation of verses from the Noble Qur’an, then a poem by the poet Ahmed Sarhan, followed by an anthem inspired by the occasion. The celebration also included a presentation of interludes from the words of the reference Fadlallah, and the ceremony was presented by the Director of the Islamic Cultural Center, Mr. Shafiq Al-Moussawi.

In the end, the Allama Sayyed Ali Fadlallah gave a speech at the beginning of which he welcomed the attendees, and thanked them for their participation, “On this day that we never wanted to renew the grief for those who deserve to grieve for his separation, it is for all of us a day of renewal of loyalty to the master, who gave us and did not spare us all the time. The stage in which we lived with him, neither with his time, nor with his effort, nor with his presence, and he kept giving from his mind, heart and guidance until the last breath.

He said: The master wanted people when they adhere to religion to take it from its pure sources, its spirituality, its human and moral values ​​and principles, and that it not become for them a form without content and a body without a soul, and that religions do not turn into solid concrete barriers and walls that prevent them from meeting, or into barricades fighting in her name. This is what we witnessed its clear and obvious effects on the level of his civilized understanding of religion, and on the level of thought, jurisprudence, interpretation, education, human culture, serving and helping people, and he had his role in addressing issues related to children, women, youth, the elderly and people with special needs, and his influential presence in the fields of jihad and in the face of occupation and arrogance. And the forces of injustice, ignorance, backwardness, and extremism.”

He added: “He did not think, as many thought, to build self-glory in which no one would share, but rather worked on two lines: the first line is participation. His partnership with them is real and not formal, so that no one in it, no matter how high his position, has the sole discretion to make the decision alone, and the others have nothing but implementation.

He continued: “As for the second line that he worked on, it was the awakening of the energies and abilities deposited within every human being and within society and the nation until he deserved to be said about him: He is the engine of stillness that worked to awaken thought, when he was saying: Do not freeze your minds for the account of anyone, no matter how high they are, and do not rent them. The matter did not please God Himself when He called His servants to mobilize their minds and to believe in Him and His Messages based on awareness and study and not based on blind imitation.He always used to say that the Messenger has a mind from without and reason is a messenger from within, even in his relationship with people who adhere to his approach and were brought up on His teachings urged them to think, so he told them to think with me and even criticize me, and do not say that the master said and it is over. He studied jurisprudence and questioned his views, as he saw them as the best students, and this prompted him to change his opinion or modify it if he was convinced of their point of view and saw its correctness.

He said: “He did not accept the doctrinal and intellectual inertia, and he did not give in to the prevailing and the famous, and even to the consensus of opinions, and he used to say to those who accused him of the scholars that he contradicted the elders or the well-known, that we respect and revere them, but they have their minds and we have our minds that we must use and not freeze, and this is what he was calling He wanted him not to freeze over what he had reached, but rather to develop the energies he possessed, because stagnation is regression and decline, but rather death and annihilation.”

He continued: He did not stop calling for the renunciation of differences between Arab and Islamic countries, and it pained him that they turned into flammable hotbeds of tension in this or that arena, or on the level of bilateral relations, without working to speed up their containment through frank and transparent dialogue that eases It reduces tension and contributes to understanding mutual concerns, many of which fall into the circle of illusions raised by foreign powers seeking to maintain conflict between them and through which they consolidate their influence in the region.

He added: “We are in great need, at this stage, which is one of the most difficult stages in this country, to evoke the words of the master, his positions and his options to get out of the state of collapse that we have reached at all levels, and to strengthen the convergence between the Lebanese, which we do not want, as often happens, submissive.” For compliments, formalities, and even lies, but rather a sincere meeting that contributes to removing the concerns that the Lebanese feel about each other, which are increasing day by day, and to address the intractable crises produced by the policies of waste, corruption and mismanagement, which led to the Lebanese feeling that they are no longer able to live together. Or to push them to emigrate by any means in search of a living and a decent life in other countries.

He stressed that “working for this convergence is the responsibility of all political forces, parties, religious authorities, and active and influential personalities. Social, health and even security, and which is related to the future of this country, without waiting for the outsider to save us, who has become beyond its interests. The sectarian system or at the level of the mechanisms and method of governance adopted, and not to stand without sacred or red lines.”

He said: “We are called upon to build a homeland in which man feels his humanity, in which justice has its authority, the judiciary has its integrity and purity, and the law has its authority, and that the criterion of competence is knowledge, experience and integrity through which a person reaches his position, without discrimination of any person over the other.”

He added: “For our part, we will work together and confirm working together to follow up on what the master started in terms of building a strong nation with its capabilities and energies that clings to every inch of its land and sea and is able to confront the blackmail and threats of the Zionist enemy and is open to its surroundings and to the Arab and Islamic world.” Which, in turn, is his responsibility not to leave Lebanon in its harsh conditions and flounder in its crises without providing it with all means of support for rescue.In this context, we are looking forward, as the Sayyid was, to a strong Arab and Islamic world with its capabilities and capabilities and keen on integration among its countries. And to build a better world in which people live their humanity, dignity, justice and moral values.

He concluded: “We will continue to follow your steps, and we will not deviate from them, relying on the language of meeting in exchange for separation and abandonment, and the language of dialogue in exchange for the language of estrangement. To extend bridges of dialogue in cooperation with those we live with in this country and in other countries, and work together to preserve these institutions despite the difficult circumstances they face so that we can remain in the service of humankind, and as the master wanted, every human being is far from any accounts.
