On the occasion of celebrating the 8th anniversary of the Rabindra Maitri University in Kushtia, ‘Literature-Culture and Education Mela-2023’ was inaugurated in a 10-day colorful event.
On Tuesday (May 2) at 10 a.m., the university’s vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Shajahan Ali.
At this time Rabindra Maitri University Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees Professor Dr. Mohammad Zahurul Islam, Trustee Member Moniruzzaman, Zulfikar Ali, Mostafizur Rahman Babla, Head of English Department Professor Noor Uddin Ahmed, Head of Agriculture Department Zahidul Amin, Head of Business Administration Department Md. Imdadul Haque, assistant professor of microbiology department. Sujoy Kumar Bhajan along with teachers, officers, employees and students of various departments of the university were present.
After the inauguration, a national seminar titled ‘Rabindra Charcha to face the challenges of the 21st century’ was held. Convener of the National Seminar Organizing Committee Professor Dr. Md. Shahidur Rahman chaired the seminar as the chief guest was the former vice-chancellor of the Islamic University. Rashid Askari, Rabindra Maitri University’s academic advisor Professor Dr. was present as a special guest. I am Rezaul Karim.
In the first session of the national seminar, Professor of Bangla Department of Rajshahi University presented the article. Anik Mahmud, Head of Department of Fine Arts, Rajshahi University. It is MM Nurul Modashwer, Professor of Bengali Department of Islamic University. Rahman Habib, Professor of Folklore Department of Rajshahi University. Abul Hasan Chowdhury, the former head of the Bengali Department of Jhenaidah College. Nowsher Alam, Swapan Dhar, Department Head, Bangla Department, Mymensingh Commerce College, writer and researcher Tarif Hossain.
Rabindra Maitri University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. was the chief guest at the second session at 2 pm. Md. Shahjahan Ali, the main negotiator was Professor of Bengali Department of Islamic University. Sarwar Murshed. Rabindra Maitri University Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and National Seminar Organizing Committee convener Professor Dr. Md. Shahidur Rahman.
In the second session, the writer and researcher Indrani Chattopadhyay from India, poet and reciter Alam Ara Jooi, Meena Saha and Swapan Maitra from Nadia, India, assistant professor of Bengali Department of Rabindra Maitri University, presented papers. Md. Mahibul Islam, Rabindra Maitri University official writer and researcher Imam Mehdi, poet and journalist Mamun Rashid, poet researcher Alinur Islam (Banga Rakhal), environmentalist and writer researcher Gautam Kumar Roy. The entire program was conducted by Abdul Ghaffar Mithu, Lecturer of Bengali Department of Rabindra Maitri University and Editor of Rover Scouts.
The organizing authority said that seminars on various important issues of national life will be held in the 10-day event starting from Tuesday (May 2).
