Chris Paul has written a page in NBA history. The Phoenix point guard became the first player to exceed 20,000 points and 10,000 career assists.
Finalist of the playoffs this summer with the Suns, Chris Paul (36) was the author of 23 points and 14 assists Friday in a game won 115-105 on the floor of a defeated Los Angeles Lakers team for the second time in two matches this season. He reached 20,000 points in the second quarter.
Named at the start of the week among the 75 best NBA players of all time, Chris Paul is the fifth best passer in history and the 47th player to register 20,000 points or more. Only Oscar Robertson – who stopped at 9,887 assists – and John Stockton – who stayed in 19,711 points – came close to doubling 20,000 points / 10,000 career assists.
