NBA: Isaac Okoro hits game winner for Cleveland Cavaliers! Magic beat curtsy

The duel between the Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers ends wildly with a game winner, the Orlando Magic defeat the New York Knicks thanks to a strong rookie. Brandon Ingram celebrates the first triple-double of his career.

Orlando Magic (31-43) – New York Knicks (42-33) 111:106 (BOXSCORE)

• The course of the game was a bit more one-sided than the result suggests, Orlando was not behind in the last three quarters and even led by 19 points in the meantime. In the closing stages, the Magic took turns hitting crucial three-pointers to nip any comeback attempts by the Knicks in the bud. Paolo Banchero led Orlando with 21 points (7/17 FG), 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
• Franz Wagner (7/12 FG, 6 assists, 2 steals) and Wendell Carter Jr. (7/13 FG, 8 rebounds) scored well and contributed 16 points each, Cole Anthony contributed 18 points coming off the bench at 4 /6 from Downtown. Markelle Fultz (10) distributed 8 assists, Moritz Wagner marked 11 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists in just under 17 minutes. Jalen Suggs continued to miss due to concussion.
• New York also lacked a Jalen backcourt, but Brunson was well replaced by Quentin Grimes (5/10 3P, 6 assists, 3 steals) and Immanuel Quickley (7/17 FG, 7 assists, 2 steals) with 25 points each. RJ Barrett (10, 3/12 FG) and Julius Randle (23, 7/20) scored less well.
• Mitchell Robinson hit his only shot from the field and was otherwise mostly limited to rebounding (6 of 12 on the opposing board) and defending (3 blocks). The Knicks center had complained about his role on the team last week. His substitute Isaiah Hartenstein (6 points, 3 assists), on the other hand, didn’t miss a single shot.

Brooklyn Nets (39-34) – Cleveland Cavaliers (47-28) 114:116 (BOXSCORE)

• Bitter defeat for the newly formed Nets, who were just 1.3 seconds behind in the second half. The Cavs ended the game on a 12-2 run that Isaac Okoro helped with the first game winner of his career put the icing on the cake.
• Donovan Mitchell had gone to the free-throw line two points down after a foul by Spencer Dinwiddie with just under 12 seconds to play and had hit the first try, then things got absolutely wild. • The top scorer of the game was Mikal Bridges with 32 points at 11/19 from the field, Dinwiddie (25, 9/15 FG, 12 assists) was also in a good mood. Support came from the bench with Joe Harris (15, 5/8 3P) and Royce O’Neale (12, 8 rebounds), but starting forwards Cameron Johnson (5, 1/6 FG) and Dorian Finney-Smith ( 4, 0/6 FG) were hardly usable in the throw.
• As a result of the defeat, the Nets (39-34) are currently out of direct playoff spots behind Miami (40-34) in the East.
