The eleventh season of started last Sunday “NCIS: Los Angeles” on the US broadcaster CBS. Also present were David James Elliott and Catherine Bell alias Harmon Rabb Jr and Sarah MacKenzie. “NCIS: Los Angeles” – Second Chances for Harm and Mac?
The season premiere was titled “Let Fate Decide,” so “Let Fate Decide”. That’s exactly what Mac and Harm have done in the series finale of “JAG: Honor’s Call” by letting a coin toss decide how they should proceed. Eventually, however, the pair broke up and did not see each other for nine years until Sunday’s episode of NCIS: Los Angeles. Their reunion makes the fan hearts beat faster. The dialogue in full:
“It’s been nine years, Harm. Why?”
“I thought you were happy in DC I was stationed.”
“We were scared. That’s the only reason that makes sense. We never gave it a chance, a real try. Never tried our best because we were just too scared. Don’t worry, I’m not here, to ask you if we want to be together again. I just want us to acknowledge why we’re standing here today as colleagues and not husband and wife.”
“Mac, what are we going to do?”
“I don’t know, but letting fate decide is really behind us.”
Will the two get back together? On Twitter, numerous fans let their hope run free.
“NCIS: Los Angeles, Please Don’t Screw It Up!”
“Yeah, maybe the ‘JAG’ gathering wasn’t what we expected. But we saw Mac tiptoe hugging Harm. I’ll be eternally grateful for that.”
“I just want us to acknowledge why we are standing here today as colleagues and not as husband and wife.” Oh, my shipper heart.” (Wishing two people to come together)
So there is still hope for both of them. Finally it was Hetty Langewho told Mac in the Season 10 finale, “The final chapter of the estranged couple is not yet written.”
