Netflix and Téléfoot offer a subscription combining series and football

Netflix and Téléfoot, the new major broadcaster of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, announced on Thursday, July 30, a bundled offer at 29.90 euros per month, setting up on Canal + with its series offering and of soccer.

“This bundled offer combining a Téléfoot subscription and a Netflix subscription will be available from August 17 at less than 30 euros per month”, announced Netflix and Mediapro, the Chinese-Spanish owner of the Téléfoot channel, in a joint statement. Mediapro had already announced an offer at 25.90 euros per month with a one-year commitment or 29.90 euros per month without commitment.

French, European football and entertainment

The new bundle includes a Telefoot subscription with a one-year commitment as well as a Netflix Standard subscription giving access to high definition content on two screens. Téléfoot is ultimately targeting 3.5 million subscribers.

“We are delighted with this unprecedented and innovative partnership which will enable us to offer the best of French and European football and the best of entertainment within the same commercial offer at a very attractive price”, underlined Jaume Roures, founding partner of Mediapro, and Julien Bergeaud, general manager of Mediapro sport France.

The Spanish company with Chinese capital already announced Monday a distribution agreement with SFR, a subsidiary of the Altice group, allowing it in particular to broadcast the Champions League in 2020-2021 and to be available on SFR boxes.
