CD Projekt RED has plenty of video footage from “Night City Wire: Episode 5” Cyberpunk 2077 (from 59,99€ at pre-order) released. In addition to a five-minute game scene trailer that gives an overview of the role-playing game and shows some new passages, Johnny Silverhand was also presented in more detail – including a making-of video with Keanu Reeves. The soundtrack and score were also discussed in a behind-the-scenes clip.
The game scene trailer promises “unprecedented interactions and action scenes (…) that reveal details about the story and the characters – including their backgrounds and motivations.” The video is intended to show the primary goal of V and also give players an insight into character development and possible side activities in Night City. The trailer is available in German and English.
This is followed by the two videos in which Johnny Silverhand and his actor (Keanu Reeves) are in the foreground. The first clip is about V’s connection with Johnny Silverhand. In the behind-the-scenes video, Keanu Reeves talks about his transformation into the rebel rocker boy of Night City – including voice and motion capture recordings.
In “Score and Soundtrack” Marcin Przybylowicz (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt), PT Adamczyk (GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales) and Paul Leonard-Morgan (Dredd, Limitless, Battlefield: Hardline) talk about the creation of the original music.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on December 10, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia and Xbox One. Whoever plays Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X / S or PlayStation 5 will be able to use the game “with better performance”. In addition, CD Projekt Red is working on a free upgrade that will use the technical performance of both platforms individually. This upgrade will be released in 2021.
