ABIEPS – Brazilian Association of Equipment and Services Companies for the Convenience Fuel Market, has a new executive board. In addition to Bruno Rosas as President, the entity has Ricardo Spinelli, Deputy Director President; Jorge Kuzyyama, CFO and Lincoln César, Deputy CFO. Operating since 2001, ABIEPS brings together equipment manufacturers, distributors, commercial representatives and service providers in the gas station and convenience store segment.
The new president of ABIEPS is also a member of the vice-presidency of ABIMAQ – Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment Industry. His management action plan will be supported by two strategic pillars.
The first is to consolidate relations with ABIMAQ, work that started two years ago, in the sense of providing ABIEPS associates with a differentiated level of support, expanding and focusing – with more intellectual and political capital – the current pains of resellers, through observation and analysis of good practices implemented by other sectors of Brazilian industry and commerce.
The second is to strengthen the reach and visibility of ExpoPostos, a biannual event, held in partnership with Fecombustíveis, a forum for exchanging information and learning and a strong driver of business in the sector, considered the largest in Latin America.
“The challenge this year is in prioritizing demands, with the country’s political and economic scenario in constant change – natural for the first year of a new government –, which generates potential course corrections and the need to be flexible and quick to accompany and support our associates”, observes Rosas.
Bruno Rosas holds a degree and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, and a master’s degree in Oil and Gas, from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and an MBA in International Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He currently holds the presidency for Latin America at Gilbarco Veeder-Root.
Active participation in professional associations is also part of his career: he was coordinator of CEDAC – SINDICOM’s Fuel Distribution and Storage Studies Commission, president of CSMEPS – Sectorial Chamber of Machines and Equipment for Service Stations and Supply Solutions at ABIMAQ, entity of which he participates in the vice-presidency, since 2022.
“Assuming the position of President of ABIEPS brings a great deal of responsibility, as several renowned executives in our sector have held this position, performing an excellent job over the last 22 years. It is a source of pride to assume the presidency of the association with 100% approval from the Board of Directors and support from other entities such as ABIMAQ, for example”, says Bruno Rosas. “Our goal is to increase knowledge and dialogue in our sector, including engagement in technologies that are entering the country.”
