New York removed Holmes from the roster. Chapman could close again – SwingComplete

The closer of the Bronx team had left no more chances for the Cuban, who still has a negative record of 1-3 this season. However, by being placed on the 15-day disabled list, Holmes, the doors could open for the Holguín-born Missile.

According to the tweet published by the New York franchise, Holmes has a spasm on the left side of the lower back.

• RHP Clay Holmes was placed on the 15-day DL (left lower back spasm) retroactive to 8/14. • INF/OF Miguel Andújar and OF Tim Locastro were optioned to Triple-A, SWB.

In his last appearance on the 13th against the Red Sox, Aroldis Chapman in 1 1/3 performance, did not allow hits and struck out two batters to score the victory.

Also, since his introduction against Seattle, and twice against Boston, Chapman has only allowed one hit. He also hasn’t walked and has struck out four.

Will he be ready to return to his highest level in the Play-offs?
