Today (Monday), the Ministry of Health started giving the “Pfizer” vaccine to the age group of (12-18) years, in a number of vaccination centers in the Kingdom.
The General Directorate of Health Affairs in the Riyadh region published pictures of a group of boys and young men who were vaccinated with the Fayez Biotech vaccine.
Pictures broadcast by the General Directorate of Health Affairs in Hafr Al-Batin also showed a group of young people and adolescents aged (12-18) receiving the first dose of Pfizer’s anti-Coronavirus vaccine.
Yesterday (Sunday), the Ministry of Health announced the start of giving the “Pfizer” vaccine to the age group (12-18) years on the Gregorian date, after the approval of the Food and Drug General Authority and the completion of all scientific studies that confirmed the effectiveness of the vaccine and its results for this category.
The ministry explained that this step comes as a continuation of its efforts to expand the administration of the vaccine, after vaccinating 70% of the adult population in the Kingdom.
