Nicolás Maduro applies the first dose of the Russian Sputnik-V vaccine

(CNN Español) — The questioned president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, applied his first dose of the Russian Sputnik-V vaccine this Saturday together with his wife, Deputy Cilia Flores.

“It hurted me. My first dose. I am vaccinated, “said the president after receiving the vaccine. Similarly, he expressed that “he will guarantee all vaccines for the people of Venezuela.”

He said that “they have been giving birth” to get the resources to acquire a greater number of immunization doses.

He also pointed out that he reached an agreement with the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization to allow them access to US $ 300 million corresponding to the gold that has been paralyzed – according to Maduro – of the sanctions in the Bank of England, but they haven’t delivered it yet.

After the presidential elections of May 2018, questioned by the international community, England ignored Maduro and instead recognized the president of the National Assembly, Juan Guaidó. It is currently under review who would maintain custody of Venezuelan gold in England.
