Nikita Mazepin “I will not forgive the Haas F1 team”[F1-Gate.com]

Nikita Mazepin says he has no intention of returning to the Haas F1 team despite an offer.

At Monza, Haas F1 team principal Guenther Steiner has confirmed that he has received notice of legal action against sacked Russian Nikita Mazepin.

Nikita Mazepin, 23, who was kicked out of the Haas F1 team along with his father’s company Uralkali after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, said: “I’m not sure if they reacted, so I’ll double check the information.” told TAS.

“However, despite the sanctions, it is possible that I will receive compensation and liability.”

“Sanctions do not give anyone the right to circumvent the law laid down by contract law. I believe in truth and I believe in judges doing their job.”

Nikita Mazepin did not specify exactly how much money he is suing Haas F1 Team for.

“First of all, they are obliged to pay last year’s salary,” said Nikita Mazepin.

“It was supposed to be paid monthly, but due to a small issue with the accounting department, it didn’t turn out the way it should have. It’s a number of five or six zeros.”

“I want to go to their accounting department, but the sanctions prevent me from flying. Bonuses, significant losses from relying on long-term contracts, image loss, even a Formula 1 car was included in the contract. But they never came to our country.”

“This all happened last year and has nothing to do with this season,” Nikita Mazepin told Avto Radio.

But Nikita Mazepin says the biggest thing that cannot be compensated for is the loss of his F1 dream.

“I wanted to be in Formula 1 my whole life,” said Nikita Mazepin.

“I’ve done it and I definitely know what a competitive car can do.”

However, Nikita says he will not return to the Haas F1 team even if invited.

“Even if the rules were followed, I wouldn’t want to go back there because I don’t want to be in F1 at any cost,” said Mazepin.

“Humanity is also important to me.”

“I think there are nine other teams I can interact with when a team boss behaves like that.”

Nikita Mazepin also sees a possible future on the F1 pitwall.

“I think one day I will stand there as a businessman,” said Nikita Mazepin.

“But I’m in no rush.”
