Market participants said the electronics group Yaskawa’s raised forecast for operations was well received by investors. The company is feeling a clear demand from China for its chips and electronic components. Yaskawa shares rose 2.2 percent.
In foreign exchange trading in the Far East, the euro rose 0.06 percent and cost $ 1.2214.
