Nintendo has hit hard again! The Japanese company clearly does not like its works to be reused. Indeed, Nintendo has filed 500 complaints against a YouTube channel that broadcasts music from its video games.

Nintendo does not mess with the unauthorized use of his works. Fans will not be entitled to any gifts even when it comes to completely innocent projects. We remember in particular this YouTuber, GilvaSunner, who received no less than 1,300 complaints in one day for using Nintendo music. The Japanese company also hunted the videos of a FPS that offered to kill Pokémon using a submachine gun.

The video game giant has struck hard again! This time it’s the YouTube channel of DeoxysPrime which is in Nintendo’s sights. This channel is followed by 165,000 subscribers and mainly broadcasts game music, including that of Nintendo. In one week, 500 copyright infringement complaints were filed against this YouTube channel, which notably broadcast music from the games Smash Bros., Donkey Kong or Mario Kart.

The YouTubeur had no choice but to give in: “ From now on, I will remove all Nintendo music from my channel. With over 500 claims and a dozen soundtracks blocked last week, it’s clear they don’t want their music on YouTube. I’m sorry for everyone who enjoys their music, but I don’t really have a choice “said DeoxysPrime.

DeoxysPrime added that his channel will not close completely and that other music will remain available. If Nintendo does have the right to file a complaint against those who use its works, DeoxysPrime encourages fans to put pressure on Nintendo so that the music from its games is marketed via albums or on Spotify for example, reports phonandroid. Do you think Nintendo should work more with its fans?
