To end the year well, Nintendo broadcast a Indie World serving once again to highlight upcoming independent productions on Switch today or in the coming months. Sadly, Hollow Knight: Silksong didn’t show up, but other equally interesting games have been talked about, including Among Us which was finally announced on the console ! Other major announcements include the arrival in summer 2021 of Spelunky and Spelunky 2, a release date for Cyber Shadow, the arrival of Super Meat Boy Forever the same day as its release on PC as a console exclusive and the revelation of a certain Tunche from Peru.
You can find all the games in the presentation, supporting videos and descriptions, below and on the next page. Once again, exclusives are scarce. The Switch is for its part sold 339 € in bundle with Animal Crossing: New Horizon, if you ever want to make a nice gift for Christmas.
Spelunky by Mossmouth and BlitWorks (Summer 2021 on Switch / available on PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox 360 and PC)
Spelunky is a unique platform game with randomly generated destructible levels that challenges players every game. Travel to the depths and explore fantastic locations filled with monsters, traps and treasures. You’ll enjoy complete freedom as you explore destructible environments and uncover their secrets. Stay or flee, kill or save, buy or steal … in Spelunky, you must take responsibility for your choices, but also their consequences!
Spelunky 2 by Mossmouth and BlitWorks (Summer 2021 on Switch / available on PS4 and PC)
Meet the next generation of lunar explorers, in search of treasures and missing loved ones. Spelunky 2 builds on the random and unique challenges of its predecessor, providing a satisfying adventure for old and new players alike. Explore the game solo, play up to 4 players locally, or, for the first time, join your friends online to solve mysteries together (or go head-to-head in the Arena modes).
The world of Spelunky 2 is even denser than its predecessor, and has more areas, characters, traps, and items to interact with (and themselves interact with each other). The world has grown in many ways, creating various paths and layered levels that add a third dimension to classic 2D platformer gameplay.
Fisti-Fluffs by Playfellow Studio (early 2021 on Switch and January 2021 on PC)

Fisti-Fluffs is an adorable (and ridiculous, yes) physics-based game where you fight with other cats and destroy your surroundings in wacky and frenzied battles. You can of course play alone, but the game is even more fun with friends. So, pull out your claws and get ready for some feline carnage.
Very-Very Valet by Toyful Games (early 2021 on Switch)
1 to 4 players control a team of jumping jacks and must work together to overcome all the obstacles that will stand in their way. They will have to work as a team and show a certain “I-park” to save the world from this terrible parking crisis! In Very Very Valet, you don’t just park cars; you are an Extreme Valet.
Tunche by LEAP Games Studios (March 2021 on Switch, Xbox One and PC, on PS4 at an undetermined date)
Tunche is a charming, hand-drawn beat’em up game with elements of roguelike, co-op, and a dash of shamanic witchcraft. Choose one of five characters, master their skills and ultimate abilities, defeat epic bosses, and unlock the secrets of the mysterious Amazon jungle! The game is all about a high-risk, high-reward combat system, as well as a touch of style. Choose the hero that best suits your playstyle and begin your journey through 4 different worlds, each filled with unique enemies.
Cyber Shadow by Mechanical Head (January 26, 2021 on Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC)
The world lives under the yoke of synthetic life forms. A desperate cry for help will launch Shadow on a journey in which he will attempt to uncover the origin of the perpetual destruction that surrounds him. Only you can unlock the secrets of your clan’s ancestral powers in CS, the ultimate ninja action game.
Calico by Whitethorn Digital (available now on Switch, Xbox One, and PC)
Calico is a community building simulation in which you must rebuild the local cat cafe and fill it with adorable creatures. For this you have to travel to a small village populated by magical maidens and other fantastic creatures, where you find yourself given the task of relaunching a derelict cafe. Upgrade your cafe by installing furniture and decorations, serving up pastries, and welcoming as many animals as possible!
Calico’s goal is simple: to make you feel good! The gameplay reflects this desire by offering a peaceful and stress-free environment, giving pride of place to creativity, and within which players are invited to play and explore.

Gnosia by Petit Depotto (early 2021 on Switch in the West, already available in Japan on Switch and PS Vita)
The Gnosia lie. Impersonating humans, they will kill every person who crosses their path … until they eradicate humanity from the universe.
The crew of a drifting ship must face a deadly and mysterious threat called “Gnosia” and, having no way of knowing who among them really is the enemy, must resort to a desperate plan: the most suspicious crew members will be placed one by one into artificial sleep in the hope of neutralizing all the Gnosia on board.
However, it is almost impossible to know if the person placed in sleep was really a Gnosia, or simply a scapegoat sacrificed by the Gnosia for their own survival. Can humanity emerge victorious … or is it doomed?
A mysterious life form has infiltrated your crew while your ship is adrift. Unmask her before it’s too late in Gnosia, available on Nintendo Switch in early 2021.#PLAYISM #IndieWorld pic.twitter.com/xGUlTP2nWa
