This is not the first time that a dashcam has given completely crazy images of events that have taken place on our roads. This time the scene was filmed on Monday on the E19 near Mechelen, in the direction of Antwerp.
While driving on the highway, a motorist was surprised to see a man with a yellow vest on the hard shoulder. It is not the presence of this gentleman that shocks, but rather what he was doing. Indeed, as we can see on the video, the man in question is carrying and pulling a trailer… by hand.
“It turned out that the drawbar of the trailer was twisted. Because he couldn’t keep driving like that, he put the foot trailer in the recovery port. That way it was safe and out of the way,” says Jana Verdegem of the Federal Police. Given that he reacted as a good father in order to avoid an accident, the gentleman will not be fined.
