The Confederation recommends having cash in case the distributors are out of service. The Canton even plans to play the bank.

Have a small reserve of cash. Just in case. On its website, the Confederation presents the suggestion as a “friend’s advice”. That must be understood in the context of the energy crisis and the possible power cuts that could occur this winter.
