Your municipality could lend you cash in the event of a blackout
The Confederation recommends having cash in case the distributors are out of service. The Canton even plans to play the bank.
In the event of power cuts, ATMs would be out of service. The Confederation asks to anticipate this scenario by providing cash reserves.

Have a small reserve of cash. Just in case. On its website, the Confederation presents the suggestion as a “friend’s advice”. That must be understood in the context of the energy crisis and the possible power cuts that could occur this winter.
