North Highway today May 19 | How will mobility be? – Bogota

The Aqueduct and Sewage Company of Bogotá (EAAB) confirmed on Wednesday night that it has already been identified which is the pipe damage that put in check the mobility of the North Freeway with street 183.

“After several hours of inspection work, the Bogotá Aqueduct technicians detected damage to one of the joints of the North Highway pipe with Calle 183,” the EAAB said in a statement.

Now, the next step will come: for the EAAB to define with the Ministry of Mobility what will be the days and times selected to carry out the works.

“With this technical diagnosis, the EAAB will define with the entities of the Mobility sector the date and time to repair the pipeline, seeking to reduce the impacts on traffic,” the EAAB added.

But he noted that, for now,contingency will no longer affect mobility at this point: “The Bogotá Aqueduct has already disclosed this report to the authorities so that they proceed to enable the closed lane of the North Highway.”

Precisely, around 8:48 pm, the Ministry of Mobility confirmed that “all the lanes of the mixed road on the North Highway with 183rd Street, in the South – North direction, are already enabled.”

And he added that there are conditions for the preferential lane for school routes -which operates on the North Highway between streets 167 and 235 from 6 am to 8:30 am- works this Thursday, May 19.

AdditionallyTransMilenio confirmed that it was already possible to resume the operation of the stations Calle 187 and Terminal.

“Tomorrow, Thursday, May 19, 2022, the two stations will start operating at the usual time,” TransMilenio assured.
