Mexico’s match against Argentina had raised the passions of the fans of both squads, as it was very important to qualify for the round of 16, so some Mexicans did some rituals that, as could be seen, did not work.

For example, @capiperez shared a video where he is seen walking with a group of people, most of them wearing the jersey of the Mexican national team, and began to sing: “From heaven one beautiful morning, from heaven one beautiful morning. The Guadalupana, the Guadalupana, I go down to Tepeyac”.

Miguel Herrera also did a dance on television to help Mexico to win against the albiceleste.

A recording also circulates on networks in which a woman is seen standing in front of the screen and while they showed the players singing the anthem, she crossed them. The recording is old, but it was republished to send good wishes to the Tri on this occasion.

On the part of Argentina there were also rituals, for example, the Twitter user @deliriosdereina summoned healers to help Lionel Messi: “I start the network of wiccas, mais, witches and healers Please: 15.55 set an alarm to cure the evil of watch out for Lionel Andrés Messi, 35 years old. Start texting him and this tweet to his trusted witch.”

It seems that the call-up paid off, as the Argentine star opened the scoring against El Tri in the 63rd minute, later, in the 86th minute, Enzo Fernández annihilated Mexico with a second goal.

Now Mexico is at the bottom of Group C with only one point, however, it still has a chance to qualify for the round of 16 in the match against Saudi Arabia.
