Governor of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) inactive Nurdin Abdullah | claiming billions of rupiah in cash confiscated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (NCP) is an aid for the construction of a mosque.

Nurdin denied all allegations by the KPK against him. Even so, the PDIP politician still appreciates the legal process that is being carried out by the anti-graft institution.
“Nothing’s right. Anyway, we’ll just wait. Later in court, OK. We respect the legal process,” he said.
According to Nurdin, during today’s examination investigators had not yet asked any questions regarding the case. He admitted that he only signed the seizures by the KPK investigating team.
“The examination will be on Monday. We signed all the confiscation,” he said.
Previously, Nurdin was named a suspect in the bribery of infrastructure projects in South Sulawesi. It is suspected that he received Rp5.4 billion from several contractors related to a number of projects in his area.
During a search a few days ago, the KPK investigating team secured Rp1.4 billion in cash and foreign currency amounting to US $ 10,000 and Sin $ 190,000. Money was confiscated from Nurdin’s official and private home.
The anti-corruption agency suspects that the money is linked to an alleged corruption case for infrastructure projects in South Sulawesi.
Apart from Nurdin, the KPK also named two other suspects, namely the Director of PT Agung Perdana Bulukumba (APB), Agung Sucipto and the Secretary of the Public Works Office of South Sulawesi, Edy Rahmat.
