NYT lists countries that do not want to join the coalition against Russia

A number of countries in Africa, Asia and South America seek to maintain relations with the Russian Federation and do not want to join the US coalition, New York Times columnists Lara Jakes and Edward Wong said.

The article notes that US President Joe Biden is persistently trying to involve India, Brazil, Israel and the Persian Gulf countries, to convince them to impose sanctions and exert diplomatic pressure on the Russian Federation, as well as to provide military assistance to Ukraine.

“So far, hardly any of them have expressed a desire to do so, despite partnering with the United States on other important security issues,” the article says.

It also notes that China condemns US attempts to expand the coalition, which includes countries in Europe, Canada, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Australia.
