In the Major League Baseball Spring Training game this Sunday, March 26, Venezuelan catcher Omar Narváez starred in a great defensive play in the game between the New York Mets and the Miami Marlins.

The action occurred in the upper part of the fifth inning, after the native showed his good reflexes by receiving a pitch and immediately throwing to second base to get the runner who was at first base out.
Narváez, looked solid at catcher and demonstrated his defensive qualities that allowed the Mets to prevent said runner from moving closer to the fourth score.
So far this preseason, the Venezuelan mask has registered 3 runs scored, 7 hits, 1 home run, a .304 batting average and an .864 OPS with the Mets.

Omar, 31 years old, appears as one of the important pieces of the New York team for the upcoming Major League Baseball campaign, where he will try to gain greater prominence and do his job as best as possible for the benefit of the organization’s results.
