The number of victims of a bus collision on the Sohag Red Sea Road at the 80th kilometer point near Saniyat Assiut has risen to 27, injured and dead. The injured and the body were transferred to Sohag University and General Hospital and Akhmim Central.
The eastern desert road of Sohag, the Red Sea, at the 80th kilometer point in the direction of Assiut Governorate, witnessed a collision between two buses on the road, which resulted in the death of one person and the injury of 27 others.
Major General Mohamed Abdel Moneim Sharbash, Assistant Minister of Security, Sohag Security Director, had just received a report from the Roads Security Department stating that there had been a collision between two buses on the eastern desert road, and the presence of a dead and injured person.
The concerned authorities were notified and a report was issued about the incident in preparation for submission to the Public Prosecution Office.
