A declaration in favor of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was signed by more than 300 politicians worldwide, including the Chilean deputy Karol Cariola (PC). After the former president was sentenced to six years in prison, the International Feminist group assured that this sentence is “the corollary of a long and profound judicial, media, and political persecution that seeks to discipline and intimidate.”

the deputy Karol Cariola (PC) is one of the 330 women of the Feminist International what signed in support of the Vice President of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

It should be remembered that the former president was sentenced to six years in prison and permanently disqualified from holding public office. This, after the Federal Criminal Oral Court found her guilty of the crimes of illicit association and fraudulent administration.

However, Fernández will not go directly to jail, since his position grants him jurisdiction until December 2023 and there are still instances of appeal.

Various left-wing leaders in Latin America spoke out in favor of Cristina, assuring that the sentence is persecution. The Argentine president himself, Alberto Fernández, assured that “an innocent person has been sentenced.”

Deputy Karol Cariola (PC) stands out among the signatories

This Thursday, the Feminist International affirmed that the sentence to Fernández is “the corollary of a long and deep judicial, media and political persecution that seeks to discipline and intimidate the main leader of Argentina.”

“In this case, it is a judicial process that lacks any supporting evidence, plagued by irregularities, without Cristina being able to be linked, after three years of oral proceedings, in any of the irregularities that were investigated,” he adds.

They also assert that the “attack” on the former trans-Andean president is aggravated by the attempted “femimagnicide” that he suffered on September 1.

“From different latitudes, we hugged compañera Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and we shouted very loudly. If they touch one of us, they touch us all!”ends the statement.

Among the signatories highlights the communist deputy Karol Cariola, the only Chilean who signs the pronouncement.

They also make up the extensive list Irene Montero, Minister of Equality of Spain; María Nela Prada, Minister of the Presidency of Bolivia; Nadine Gasmán, president of the Institute for Women of Mexico; and María José Pizarro, senator from Colombia, among other women.
