In only three editions, the OptiOrange Valencia has become the most important children’s sailing regatta of the Royal Yacht Club of Valencia and one of the most outstanding on the international scene, and will bring together more than 300 Optimist class sailors between 8 and 15 years in the famous Valencian race course.
The OptiOrange Valencia was born in 2018 with the joint organization of RCN Valencia and the Saint Petersburg Yacht Club with three main objectives: competition, fun and easy access. The initial idea was to serve as a joint training for Russian and Spanish sailors, but the success of the first two editions has led it to acquire great relevance internationally.
Thus, in 2020, with two months left for the starting gun, the 300 entries of sailors from 22 different countries have already been exceeded, and it is expected to exceed 350 Optimist at sea, all of them outstanding athletes in their countries originally.
