OTB by Renzo Rosso bought Jil Sander

Only the Brave (OTB), the holding company of the entrepreneur Renzo Rosso, famous for the Diesel brand, bought Jil Sander, the brand founded by the German designer of the same name in 1968. The Jil Sander brand was acquired by the Japanese group Onward Holding , to which it belonged since 2008. The figure of the agreement was not disclosed.

For Jil Sander it is a return to Italy: between 1999 and 2006 he was part of the Prada group of Patrizio Bertelli and Miuccia Prada. In 2006 it was then resold to Change Capital Partners, who in turn sold it to Onward in 2008, for 167 million euros.

“I find Jil Sander an exceptional brand, I’m in love with his materials, the quality and the minimalist style of his garments that never dies in the wardrobe,” he told Republic Renzo Rosso. «I have a lot of respect for Raf Simons (former stylist for Jil Sander, now at Prada, ed), but despite the various changes in the creative direction this is a brand that is always super cool. Lucie and Luke Meier, the creative directors, are doing well, when I saw their collection I made a big wow ».
