She also invites people who participated in private parties on these dates to do the same.

Five people have already tested positive for COVID-19 in this outbreak.

The regional director, Dr. Sylvain Leduc, invites the population to collaborate in order to limit the transmission of the coronavirus in the community.

“To break the chain of transmission, we need to trace all those who have been potentially exposed to the virus and isolate them, if necessary. If you receive a call from public health, I ask you to team up with us, ”he said in a statement.

Last Thursday, Dr. Leduc invited the people of Bas-Saint-Laurent to make a last ditch effort to prevent the region from going into the red zone.
