Paid GTA+ annoys fans

On March 29th, Rockstar introduces the paid add-on service GTA+ for “GTA Online”. However, the new subscription is not well received by many players.

Rockstar developers recently announced a new add-on service for GTA Online. Starting March 29, players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S GTA+ subscribe to. The service is chargeable and will cost 5.99 euros per month. In return, however, players should receive 500,000 GTA dollars and exclusive rewards every month.

Some “GTA” players are less enthusiastic about the latest idea from Rockstars. They are currently venting their frustration with the additional service on social media.

Players fear the impact of GTA+

Some gamers are angry that GTA 5 has been such a huge success for so many years and Rockstar still wants to find ways for users to put even more cash into the title. “GTA 5” has already sold more than 160 million copies. This month is only the Next gen version of the game Released for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. “GTA 5” has already been released for the third generation of consoles.

Other players fear that developers could now use GTA+ to give subscribers early access to future updates or put them behind a paywall altogether. Another user is concerned that the launch of the subscription service could negatively impact rewards in GTA Online.

On Twitter, the user writes “Dr. Peter Fleming’s Psy.D said the success of GTA Online was one of the worst things that has ever happened to gaming. “TheProfessional” goes further and demands an apology from the developers: “If you, as a developer, have an ounce of decency and respect for your fans, say so [GTA+] please exit and apologize to your community.”

But not all players see the new subscription model as bad. A user writes that the service is perfect for players like him. He doesn’t have enough time to farm heists in GTA Online. He would only do contact missions for fun and barely make GTA$500,000 a month.
