Vatican: Parents should not worry if their children are homosexual and should support them, says Pope Francis The pope made the remarks while speaking at a weekly conference on the crises facing parents. The pope also explained how to deal with children when they come to know the different sexual orientations and tastes of children.
The pope has already made it clear that members of the gay community have a right to be recognized within their families. He said they deserve to remain children and siblings in the family and parents should not be saddened by this.
He said that although same-sex marriage is not allowed in churches, we can support their civil union laws and the community should be prepared to support laws that help ensure the rights of gay couples.
