While Payday 2 still regularly attracts thousands of players on Steam, Overkill and Starbreeze have been preparing for several years its sequel, Payday 3. The game had been announced in 2016, the development has started the next year and the studios were planning to launch it in 2022, or even 2023.

Suffice to say that we are not ready to get our hands on this Payday 3, but the studios unveiled this weekend a first image, which does not tell us much about the game itself, but rather on its design. Because yes, Payday 3 is developed thanks to theUnreal Engine d’Epic Games, an engine widely used for several years and which makes it possible to carry the title on several platforms easily. The previous part, which dates as a reminder from 2013, was running with the engine Diesel 2.0.
For now, we have to be content with that, it’s not so bad, but you will have to wait a long time before finding Payday 3, on still unknown platforms. And above all, given the financial woes of Starbreeze in recent years, seeing that the title is still alive is reassuring. You can find Payday 2 : The Big Score with a bunch of DLC for € 34.04 on Amazon.fr.
