Professional rescue with several teams at the scene of the accident

EA pedestrian was hit and knocked down by a bus in Vienna-Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus on Saturday afternoon. According to information from Wiener Linien and the professional rescue service, which had deployed several teams, the 61-year-old received emergency medical care, but died on the way to the hospital.
The scene of the accident was at Hütteldorfer Straße 62. The man came onto the road between parked cars at around 2.30 p.m. to cross the street and probably overlooked the approaching bus on line 12A, said a spokeswoman for Wiener Linien of the APA. “The driver immediately initiated emergency braking, but was unable to prevent the collision,” said the spokeswoman.
