Peugeot has introduced its new logo. Although the lion is still present in the emblem, its design has been radically changed. From February 25, 2021, Peugeot will use a new brand logo. It is a coat of arms depicting the head of a roaring lion.
The company explained that the new logo symbolizes an eternal and versatile style that reflects cultural diversity. “For the great dynasties of Europe, the heraldic shield has always remained one of the main hallmarks,” the company said in a statement. “He talks about the status of the owner, the strong traditions and the rich history of the family name.”
Since 1850, the Peugeot logo has changed tenfold, but the lion always remains the central figure in it. The new, eleventh version of the emblem was developed by the international design studio Peugeot Design Lab.
The company did not limit itself to the new logo, but also changed the corporate identity in which Peugeot dealerships, accessories and communication materials will be decorated.
In addition, the brand’s website will soon become part of a “virtual dealer”: the online shopping process will become simple and intuitive and will cover all stages, from getting to know the car and configuration to concluding contracts and obtaining loans.
The first model with the new logo will be the next generation Peugeot 308, which according to preliminary data will be released in late 2021 or early 2022. See how the French brand’s logo has changed over the years.
