By consulting the latest data from Sciensano, over the 14-day period between December 27 and January 9, we know exactly the vaccination status of patients who entered the intensive care in Belgium.
Every day there was an average of 10.1 new people entering unvaccinated, 5.1 entries of fully vaccinated persons and 4.4 entries of vaccinated persons having had the booster as well. We therefore arrive at an average of 141 non-vaccinated for the two weeks and 132 vaccinated. That is a proportion of 51.6% of non-vaccinated for 48.4% of vaccinated. However, the “non-vaccinated/vaccinated” proportion among those aged 18 and over in Belgium is 12%-88%.
