Police investigate two hypotheses in the crime of the manager of the Infinity Bay Resort

Roatan, Bay Islands.

The authorities work on two strong hypotheses to clarify the murder against Rick Kolinsky, who worked as manager of the Infinity Bay complex in the island zone of the country.

Carlos Mejia, head of the Policeman in Roatán, he told LA PRENSA this afternoon that “we are working with two strong lines, we already have a specific route and we believe that these will lead us to the correct motive for the crime.”

The police commissioner reported that the investigations began last night by the local authorities, however, for this Friday the arrival of a team from the Police Investigation Directorate (DPI) from Tegucigalpa was scheduled. Field agents, technicians and prosecutors were also made available to streamline the investigation of the case and deliver results soon.

“We are very interested in solving this case, so we hope to have advanced results in the next 72 hours,” he continued.

The police officer commented that among the work carried out is the analysis of security cameras installed in the area and testimony of the person who accompanied him at the time of the criminal attack, who is out of danger. He also made a specific call to those who could witness the crime, to approach the investigators and thus collaborate in the prompt capture of those responsible.

The foreigner was transported in his white Toyota Tundra through the tourist area of the West End. When he was parked in front of a business called Los Argentinos he was intercepted by two individuals that were fired from a tourism-type vehicle.

Rick Kolinsky was originally from the United States, but had lived in Honduras for many years. As it was learned, yesterday morning he was not in Roatán and arrived on the island in the afternoon after meeting with some businessmen in Tegucigalpa.

Although the Police have not yet clearly described the hypotheses, it is presumed that one of the causes of this violent event is personal enmities.

The murder caused commotion among the inhabitants of the island, because Kolinsky was a major promoter of tourism in the country for decades.
