Poll reaffirms victory of Gustavo Petro in elections | News

The Technology and Electoral Services company (TYSE) revealed this Monday the results of a survey where it indicates that the candidate Gustavo Petro leads the intention to vote with 36.64 percent, ahead of the presidential elections that will be held in Colombia on next May 29.

In this sense, the entity specified that Petro, from the coalition of the Historical Pact, remains at the head of the elections, but without the majority of the votes required to obtain victory in the first round of the electoral elections.

Two weeks before the presidential elections in Colombia, Petro reaffirms its main promises to the people, among them, direct attention to public health by the State, the pension of 18 million people and the cessation of oil exploration.

On the other hand, the institution estimated that the questioned candidate of Team for Colombia supported by Uribismo, Federico Gutiérrez, obtains 21.40 percent of the voting intentions in the poll; qualifying as Petro’s opponent for the presidential second round on June 19.

He also added that the center candidate, Sergio Fajardo, is positioned with 6.06 percent of the approval votes, a score obtained in previous polls.

It is worth mentioning that during the survey 8,000 people were interviewed; According to the entity, the level of reliability is 97.3 percent and the margin of error is less than 2.7 percent.
