Polynesia as seen by Thomas Pesquet

IMAGE OF THE DAY – Thomas Pesquet flew over French Polynesia aboard the ISS, providing us with some stunning photos on Instagram.

Splendid photos of the atolls and the Society Islands and the Austral Islands, posted on Instagram by Thomas Pesquet. “Our trajectory rarely takes us right over French Polynesia, but when it does, it’s inevitable!”, expressed the French astronaut who arrived aboard the International Space Station (ISS) on April 24, for a six-month mission. Thomas Pesquet even took the opportunity to say a word about climate change, and to greet the “initiatives of young Polynesians to replant the coral”.
