His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. St. Mark, said that the lies that are being spread on the social media pages and some other pages, regarding the Abu Sefein church fire incident, are all matters that do not befit the sanctity of death, stressing: “The accident and the pain that exists in the hearts, and we are supposed to be human beings to bandage.” The surgeon does good deeds in such situations.”
His Holiness, Pope Tawadros, spoke, in a telephone interview to the “evening dmc” program broadcast on the dmc channel, with the media, Engy El-Qadi, about the rumors that emerged after the incident, saying: “There are people who provoked evil and talk about lies and rumors, all of which are unreal, and in which there is a form of directing Neglecting and accusing people, and we do not accept these things in the church at all.”
And His Holiness Pope Tawadros added: “A few hours after the accident, the head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces called me, under the guidance of President El-Sisi, regarding the restoration of the church. Hours, the work has already begun, and may God complete their work.”
