Popular Front hartal illegal; The High Court took the case on its own initiative Kerala | Deshabhimani

Kochi> The hartal called by the Popular Front was illegal and the High Court took a suo motu case. A contempt of court case will be filed against those who announced the hartal. The court directed that immediate action should be taken to stop the violence and the destruction of public property should be stopped. The hartal can be held only after giving 7 days notice.

The case will be considered on 29. The court said that lightning hartal is contempt of court and safety should be provided for public transport. The hartal is protesting the nationwide raids by NIA and ED on popular front offices and houses of leaders and arrests of many people.
