A smart display with Alexa on board – that’s it Echo Show 15, which Amazon recently introduced. The wall-mounted gadget is set to become a smart household focal point and can be pre-ordered now.
Alexa has long conquered smartphones, tables and bedside tables with various Echo devices, now it’s the turn of the walls: At the end of 2021 Amazon will have a new gadget called Echo Show 15 presented – a full HD smart display with a 15.6-inch display and camera that can be hung upright or horizontally. The pre-order product page for the largest Echo Show device to date is already online on the Amazon website. It costs 249.99 euros at launch and will be released on February 17th.
What’s on the wall, does Alexa have it handy?
What looks like a picture frame in press photos should be integrated into the household more centrally than ever before by Alexa. For example, the Echo Show 15 displays widgets, personalized to-dos, calendars, recipes or notes. The device should also be suitable for video calls, listening to music or watching your favorite series on Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and Co. Interesting: The Alexa gadget recognizes who is standing in front of it via the built-in 5-megapixel camera and displays personalized content. Finally, the Echo Show 15 is actually a smart picture frame: when it’s not in use, you can display artwork or photos of your choice. And if you prefer to stand it up rather than hang it up, there’s also a stand that’s sold separately.
